Each brushstroke an echo of breath, each pause a deliberate space for reflection. Guided by the Four Treasures: Ink Stone, Ink Stick, Rice Paper, and Bamboo Brush, I paint intuitively, allowing the form to unfold without expectation. The process is not one of control, but of discovery. A gentle surrender to the rhythm of the moment. Through a balance of abstraction and realism, I invite the viewer to enter a visual

meditation. When a painting draws one inward toward a center of calm, clarity, and presence, it has fulfilled its purpose.

In stillness, I paint as Rosemary KimBal, founder of Dancing Brush®, the name given to my practice and path. Each piece is signed with “Beautiful Joy“, (Mei Yue in Chinese, Meitsu in Japanese) a quiet reflection of the spirit I trust each stroke conveys.

 sdma artists guild exhibit

https://dancingbrush.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/My-Video-1.mp4

This video is shared at the SDMA ARTISTS GUILD exhibit at MOPA in Balboa Park, San Diego from 11/09/24-03/09/2025.
